Impairment Notification
Safety and security systems are in place to reduce the potential impact to the business. These systems require maintenance, restoration, expansions or repairs. During these outages sound impairment management procedures should assure that the impairment period is minimized, the extent of the works is limited and potential hazards are managed properly.
The impairment management procedure should clearly describe the responsibilities, actions, precautions, and reporting structures for impairments of safety and security systems.
The procedure includes a notification form to inform the property insurer and follows a structured approach.
